Pursuant to R.C. 1.14, “When a public office in which an act, required by law, is to be performed is closed to the public for the entire day that constitutes the last day for doing the act or before its usual closing time on that day, the act may be performed on the next succeeding day that is not a Sunday or a legal holiday” as defined in that statute. |

The Court Holds Oral Arguments at Case Western Reserve University School of Law
The Court visited Case Western Reserve University School of Law on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Oral arguments were held in the school’s moot courtroom before an audience of first year law students.
Judge Eileen T. Gallagher, Judge Kathleen Ann Keough and Judge Emanuella D. Groves presided over a civil appeal involving adverse possession and both the judges and attorneys answered questions from students about the appellant process following arguments.
