Judge Michelle J. Sheehan’s investiture ceremony was held on January 3, 2019 in the Rotunda of the Cuyahoga County Courthouse where hundreds gathered to witness the event. Newest judge to the join the Eighth District Court of Appeals, Judge Ray Headen, inspires students from his former elementary school.

Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor administered the oath of office to newly elected Justice Stewart in a gathering before Justice Stewart’s proud colleagues and friends in the Eighth District Court of Appeals’ main courtroom.

Pursuant to Loc.App.R. 46(B), the Eighth District Court of Appeals maintains an appointed counsel list for indigent persons for appeals concerning criminal convictions, juvenile delinquencies, and the termination of parental rights.
