The Ohio Supreme Court Awards Eighth District Court of Appeals 2019 Technology Grant
The Eighth District Court of Appeals gratefully accepts a technology grant award from the Ohio Supreme Court. The court sought funding for the equipment and infrastructure necessary for video conferencing technology in the courtroom as part of a pilot project, allowing incarcerated pro se appellants to participate in oral argument at the court’s discretion. The technology will also be utilized for court-wide trainings and mediation conferencing.
Funds for this grant are made available under the Ohio Courts Technology Initiative, which was established five years ago under the leadership of Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor.
The Eighth District Court of Appeals looks forward to implementing this technology and thanks Chief Justice O’Connor for her appreciation of the role that technology plays in helping Ohio state courts achieve their primary mission — the fair administration of justice.
